Raising children from hard places is often a challenge. That's why we support foster & adoptive families through parenting classes and by connecting them to relevent resources in the community.
The training is taught from a christian perspective and focuses on a wide range of topics and issues relevent to adoptive and foster parents, such as:
In addition to the in-class teaching and discussions, parents will be given weekly assignments, including reading and a variety of partipatory "at-home" exercises to help solidify what is being learned during the weekly class sessions.
No one should walk the unique journey of fostering & adoption alone. Local support groups provide a place where you can connect with others just like you who understand the struggles and joys of fostering/adoption.
